|Experience:||I am an enthusiastic, patient, and committed tutor with a wide range of applicable experiences. I enjoy working with students of all ages, and feel that I have as much to learn from my students as they have to learn from me. I value the many ways individuals learn and perform academically, and I work hard to develop specialized plans for each student I work with. |
I worked for 3 summers as a Counselor and Events Coordinator for the Gow School Summer Program, which is a a five week Summer Program for boys and girls who have experienced academic difficulties as a result of learning-based disorders. This experience allowed me to work with building academic, social, and emotional skills in children and teens from all over the world. Watching them grow over that period was a wonderful experience!
I am currently working as an AVID tutor for the Chapel Hill - Carrboro City School system, which has been an excellent opportunity for me to share my strengths with local students, develop their study skills, and promote the pursuit of and success in higher education in the future.
|Hobbies:||I love to travel, and have family and friends all over the world. My other hobbies include reading, being outdoors, learning to cook, and most recently learning to play the mandolin!|
